Light & Noir at The Skirball
I'm so sorry for being late on this but there's still time to catch this great exhibit at the Skirball in Los Angeles. On view until March 1, 2015, "Light & Noir" examines the German speaking immigrant population in to Hollywood during the Golden Age. Many of them Jews, who fled Nazi Europe, would go on to become iconic stars of the screen both in front and behind the camera. The exhibition features legends like Fritz Lang and Billy Wilder and uses never before seen photos, props, drawings and film footage to narrate the immigrant experience in a whole new light. Being a fan of Film Noir, this is a must see exhibit and I love the lens through which it's presented.
